Adam

Q. 1 Summarize the life and redemptive-historical significance of Adam.

Adam was the first man, created by God in his image and set as the covenant head of the human race . Placed in Eden under the covenant of works, he fell by eating the forbidden fruit, plunging all mankind into sin and death . In redemptive history he is the head of the old humanity whose disobedience is undone by Christ, the last Adam, whose obedience brings righteousness and life .
